I decided to come back to Japan as a software engineer.

My name is Fatima, I was born and grew up in Morocco. And then I went to France for the university to study computer science.
In Morroco, we have a special curriculum. There are exams to enroll either in Moroccan universities or French universities. There are several exams that we take, and then depending on the score, you get to choose what kind of university you go to.
And I was very interested in computer science so that's why that school had a good program in computer science, so as a result, I chose to go there.

And then I had the chance to come to Japan for an internship.
It was just for a five-month internship but during that time, I became loved Japan and I decided to come back here and work as a software engineer.
Actually, I have been interested in Japan since I was a child, and I used to watch a lot of Japanese anime, but there were many good things that I felt for the first time when I lived in Japan.
Like for example, everything is on time. Like trains are on time and people are on time. Almost all the time on time. I really love it.

Also in Japan, people before doing something, think about what others actually would bother others or be inconvenient to others. I like this kind of mindfulness such as paying attention to other people.
One last point. I also really love the Japanese language, I think it is a beautiful language to listen to, and I had a huge interest. I'm still improving, but it's really fun and something that I'm enjoying.

Learn new things, improve our skills, develops innovative solutions

Since I was little, I was very interested in science and mathematics because I love solving problems.
Also, my father is an engineer so it is natural for me to become an engineer.

I am more interested in seeing the problem and finding a solution and I wanted to work on deeper problems.

Alesca develops innovative solutions, and very advanced research in Agriculture and I have never doubted that Alesca products will solve the world's food issues. I am very honored to be involved in solving the major issue of resolving the world's food issue.
Also, I love the healthy, positive environment that Aleca offers. I sense that we all have warm and effective communication styles.
We are very peaceful but not reactive, more interactive, and we listen and explain.

I am doing right now is data engineering and infrastructure management, so it's more related to the back end than it is related to the front end.
I also do some project management, which is an AI project we just started the project last year and I'm hoping to do some AI development this year.
My job also includes communicating with other teams, communicating with the team in China team, and also the data science team in the US.

Not only we have good opportunities to advance our careers, but also competent coworkers already have different skills and each one contributes with what they know, and also they are very open to learning new things, which is really nice.

Figuring out new ways

Being a professional level in engineering and becoming a project lead is my future goal. I would like to be more involved in setting the projects like timeline, course, and definition of the project's goals.
I would like to be more active in motivating and guiding or even mentoring the other team members, also figuring out new ways like my team manager Fumiya-san

I would like to work with someone who is friendly, interested in solving technical problems, and motivated to propose better solutions.
Someone who also is interested in agritech agriculture technologies and who is interested in solving climate is also welcome to join us!
